아동의 창의성과 감성을 자극하는 공간은 단순한 보육 환경을 넘어 자연 및 주변 환경과 유기적으로 호응해야 합니다. 이에 아이들이 실내와 실외, 높낮이가 교차하는 입체적 공간 속에서 자유롭게 탐색하고 소통할 수 있도록, 실내외의 경계를 허무는 배치와 입체적인 공간이 어우러진 유치원을 제안합니다.
아이들뿐만 아니라 교사와 학부모가 함께 어우러지며, ‘해온’이라는 이름처럼 해처럼 따스한 온기 속에서 아이들의 일상과 놀이가 경계 없이 온화하게 스며드는 다채로운 공간을 담아내고자 했습니다.
Barnacle Kindergarten, with its irregular, barnacle-shaped roof, allows children to channel and release their boundless curiosity and energy through a variety of spaces, naturally inspiring creativity to Spaces that stimulate children’s creativity and sensibility must go beyond simple childcare environments to organically harmonize with nature and their surrounding context. Thus, we propose a kindergarten where children can freely explore and communicate within a dynamic, three-dimensional space where indoors and outdoors, as well as varying levels, intersect—seamlessly blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior through an engaging layout.
Designed to bring children, teachers, and parents together, the project embodies the name ‘Haeon’—meaning ‘the warm warmth of the sun.’ Within this gentle ambiance, daily life and play seamlessly blend together across a rich variety of spatial experiences.
Concept
인접한 공원과 놀이터 등 주변의 외부 놀이공간과의 연결성을 높이고, 대지의 긴 형상에 최적화된 선형 매스를 구성하는 것에서 출발했습니다.
모든 공간과 연결되는 중심부에 개방감 있는 중앙 공간을 두어 아이들이 자유롭게 소통하고 교류할 수 있는 수직적, 수평적 구심점을 마련했습니다. 또한, 각 층마다 테라스와 옥상정원 등 다양한 외부 공간을 풍부하게 배치하여, 실내 어디서나 곧바로 자연과 햇살을 마주할 수 있는 입체적인 단지를 조성했습니다.
The design begins by strengthening connectivity with adjacent outdoor play spaces, such as neighboring parks and playgrounds, while establishing a linear mass optimized for the elongated shape of the site.
At the center, connecting all spaces, a spacious central hub provides both a vertical and horizontal anchor for children to freely interact and communicate. Furthermore, by incorporating diverse outdoor areas on every floor—including terraces and rooftop gardens—we created a three-dimensional complex where natural light and nature can be directly experienced from anywhere inside.

일월저수지 우측 하단에 위치하며, 인접한 공원과 놀이터를 품고 있어 자연 친화적인 보육 환경을 조성할 수 있습니다. 다만, 남서측으로는 대형 도로가 접해 있어 소음 차단에 대한 고려가 필요합니다.
It is situated on the lower right side of Ilwol Reservoir and embraces the adjacent park and playground, creating a nature-friendly environment for childcare. However, since a major road lies to the southwest, noise attenuation measures need to be carefully considered.
